                      Among
bluegrass and old time musicians, no one accessorizes
like a banjo player. To satisfy the demand from restless
yet discriminating banjo pickers, the Beaver Banjo Company
ran display advertisements throughout the mid-90s, providing
cutting-edge technology for the venerable five-string.
The first advertisement was for the revolutionary Beaver
Banjo "lick protector," which proved controversial,
with a number of BNL readers objecting that the devise,
if it caught on with pickers, "would ruin bluegrass
music." Somehow, bluegrass music survived. |
